We don't believe in across-the-board sizing. Each garment has a different silhouette and needs a unique chart. We strongly recommend reviewing the item measurements before placing your order.
Bust, hip, and waist measurements represent garment circumference rather than flat and seam-to-seam.
This allows for "give" on the edges and a relaxed fit.
Our garments are handmade, and let's be real — we're a small business, not a manufacturing company, so there may be some slight variation.

We are currently exploring plus sizing. Most of our items range XS–XXL. We need more feedback from real customers to refine our sizing. Oh my goodness! This pinafore came to me by accident. I ordered the tan/white stripe and received the black/white stripe. Actually, the fabric looks more blue than black. And my husband said it’s his favorite! I adore it! So instead of returning it (Heart’s Desire responded immediately), I decided to get it and I’m so happy I did. It is very well-made.
This is my favorite pinafore! I can wear it over all my slips and slip dresses or even a t-shirt and jeans. The fabric is quality as is the workmanship. Love it!

I recently bought this Arminda Pinafore in Oatmeal. And, I just love it! My only wish is that they make it up in black linen. A wonderful layering piece over long or sleeveless dresses. Even layered over a pair of frilly bloomers for this coming summer or alone with a little tank underneath. I have found my new favorite place to shop on line!
